Singin' in the Rain?

So this is my first solo attempt at victory rolls - it didn't go too badly (mostly because they were still semi-in-shape from the salon), to go with my adorable 1930s/40s playdress with whimsical umbrella-embroidered bodice.

Umbrella dress, The Poubelle Twins; Pink polka dot umbrella, from Thailand; Flower corsage, H&M.

  1. The whold look together is lovely. do you mind me asking, what editing programme do you use to embelish your photos? its really lovely.

  2. Thank you! I use both PhotoImpact and to edit my photos; all my photo collages I make in PhotoImpact, but you can achieve the same results with Photoshop Elements and other similar programs.

  3. You look gorgeous! I adore your dress! The high-waisted skirt is so beautiful! The rolls look great too! Victory rolls are my favorite vintage hairstyle. They're really easy once you get the knack of it. I find that if you fuss over them, they won't work, but if you say aloud "I don't care what they look like, just get up there!" your hair will give up the fight and they'll look perfect! At least, that's always the case with my hair! lol! Thank you too for the collage and photo editor info! I love your collages and always assumed that you used photoshop. I'm terrible with photoshop but I'll give those programs a try! :)

  4. Thank you soo much for sharing your editing programme, I had never heard of photo impact until now. I wish i could master victory rolls myself it always requires a lot of setting lotion and back combing as my hair is fine.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
