Chiang Mai: "Swirl"-wind tour

Here I am at Wat Chang Man, perhaps my favourite of Chiang Mai's temples, purely because of the elephant-surrounded chedi behind the main temple building. Sorry about the rubbish photos - as I forgot my tripod in Bangkok (don't worry, it's safe in the guesthouse!) and there was a lack of convenient passers-by, I ended up balancing my camera in a topiary for these shots!

My 1950s floral Swirl wrap dress has proved its worth, as have my kitschy heart-shaped Lolita sunglasses. Please excuse the horrible footwear (which the bush is trying its level best to hide!), but being on my feet all day in 35 degree heat, comfort really had to come before sartorial elegance!

  1. Beautiful photos! I went to Koh Samui last year and have been to Bangkok and Pattaya as well. I just love the country and the culture.

  2. Beautiful dress, and I love those heart-shaped sunglasses too!
