My outfit posts are becoming a catalogue of "Doors of Chichester"! Chichester is a lovely town (city, actually) to live in. Except that it is in England and therefore the weather is of course unpredictable to say the least. We've barely had a sunny day so far in August, and today is another grey day, hence the wool (wool! In August!) cardigan. I hope the weather improves for Vintage at Goodwood in a week's time, or I'll have to rethink my outfit plans!
This skirt matches the black jacket I often wear (though I hardly ever wear them as a suit), both hand-me-downs (hand-me-ups?) from my sister. The hat is from ebay US (and even came with hatpins). The blouse came from a charity shop and is one of my favourites for versatility (red goes with practically any colour). I'm very excited about my leopard print belt - I've been after one for the longest time, and finally found this in a charity shop. It was too big though, so Housemate Alec made extra holes with his power drill, and I cut off the excess. Perfect fit! The socks are Marks & Spencer school uniform. I have a newfound love of socks. The earrings I made myself from vintage Japanese celluloid cabochons and sterling silver earring backs.
