I've been meaning to post about Tim Layzell's retro-inspired artwork since seeing it at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. As soon as I saw his work I loved its retro appeal - his automotive art has the feel of 1930s Art Deco vacation posters for places on the French Riviera (in fact the piece above is actually of the Monaco Grand Prix). Even the less obviously Deco-influenced pieces are infused with a nostalgic style evoking the 1930s-50s.
Check out more of his work on his website. By the way I'm not receiving any remuneration for this post, I just really love his artwork.
