And the glorious weather continues! I brought my Big Apple Dress out of hibernation and we had a McDonalds (don't judge!) picnic lunch in Priory Park (where you saw me the other day in the flamingo dress). I'd actually forgotten how much I love this dress - it's a really flattering shape. I must make the adjustments to the pattern the 'proper' way, and make another version. I'm thinking of making one in my dancing ladies repro fabric.
Yes, I changed my belt after I got home! I do have a narrow red belt but I need to punch a new hole in it so I can actually wear it. In fact I also planned to make my own belt to match this dress, using the plastic apple buckle off a kids' belt I bought for the purpose - I just need to buy some red elastic belting for it.
Big Apple Dress, made by me from a 1930s pattern; Red belt, ebay; White belt, charity shop; Shoes, Marks & Spencer; Plastic and Bakelite bangles, various; Apple earrings and ring, purchased in Thailand; 1950s wicker basket purse, etsy.
Hair is in Casey's romantic updo yet again. I think I'm getting better at it each time. I especially love Casey's hair tutorials because she has thick hair like me so her styles work for my hair (she just makes it look a whole lot more effortless than it generally is for me!).
