Make Do and Mend for April

The circle of Make Do and Mend articles is almost complete - I posted my first set back in June last year, so we've only got one month to go before we come back to the beginning.

April 1945: While none of the suggestions particularly appeal, I'm loving the colour schemes featured - grey and Persian blue; sage green and chocolate; dusky pink and soft dove grey.

Great ways of combining fabric remnants into dresses. This one's from the late 40s - still during the rationing period, but you can see the early New Look styling.

  3. I'm trying to keep my eyes open and not fall asleep...it is after midnight here in Texas. But...I just want to keep reading and looking at all the vintage goodness. lol! I see in your profile you like cherry stuff (me too) and sailor suits (just did a blog post myself on sailor influence through the years. This made me HAVE to stop for a minute and say hi and keep up the good work here!
