Ask Me Tell Me

* source *

Although this blog is of course primarily my own creative outlet, it's you the readers that make it so fulfilling, so I'd love to know what you want to see here. I'm really interested to know what you'd like to see more of - outfits, sewing, vintage magazine scans / vintage inspiration, projects & tutorials, ebay-etsy picks, etc. - what do you love seeing the most? Is there a topic you'd like to see me cover in an upcoming theme week?

I'd also love to dedicate a post to answering any questions you may have for me - do comment or send me an email if you'd like to ask something - vintage-related or not (I've always wanted to do one of these posts but been afraid no-one would ask any questions and then I'd look silly, so I'm crossing my fingers that someone will ask something!).

  2. Outfits is always a favorite ;)
    Other than than I'd just like to know what specific vintage styles you love the most and why? I'm a typical 40s work wear girl for instance :)

  4. I always like tutorials, as I am creatively challenged myself. I would also like to know what got you into dressing vintage?

  7. I pretty much adore all of your posts, but if I had to pick it'd be for more vintage scans! :) Can never see enough of those. I also always enjoy your little DIYs/tutorials/sewing posts as well.

    I second Annika's question about how you got into vintage--I'd love to know! :)

  12. Charlotte, I so love your blog, and I find myself thinking about it during the day, and wishing I knew how to wear vintage! I love your style. Your blog is perfect to me!
    My one question is: I'm 50 years old, short and leaning to the very plump side. LOL If I could get my waist back, I'd love to try sewing the vintage dress patterns to wear. In the meantime, what should I wear? Or is it possible to fit a short plump person so she looks OK? Tee hee...I have a current photo on my blog if you'd like to see what I mean. It's the last one on today's post. Thanks!

  13. Firstly, I think your blog is absolutely darling. I have 4 main blogs I check regularly for new posts, and yours is definitely one of them!
    Something I would like to maybe see here would be a "Vintage For Beginners" or maybe a "How I Got Started" post... I've always had an affinity for vintage anything, particularly the 40s and early 50s, but I've just recently got up the courage to start trying to incorporate it into my wardrobe. I'd love to hear how you got started, and maybe some tips...? I've never been very make-up savvy, and that's one of the bits I have the most trouble with.. Maybe you could mention what brands you are fond of, or outline your favorite way to do your make-up? Also, it seems that you've mentioned a few times in your blog that you have thick and heavy hair. I sympathize. I have the same problem. I have ridiculous amounts of hair, and it refuses to hold any style I attempt. :/ Maybe you could share some tips about how you get yours to stay so pretty? My hair just drives me absolutely nuts..!
    Thanks so much for posting, you're blog is really an inspiration. :)
