I recently decided to open up some spots for sponsorship advertising here on Tuppence Ha'penny, and I'm delighted to introduce Now, Voyager as my very first sponsor.
I came across Now, Voyager when I attended Judy's Vintage Fashion Fair in Brighton some weeks back, and I instantly fell in love with their totally gorgeous product range - from 1940s-like miniature straw hats to flying bird fascinators to fabulous knitted cake hairpieces. If like me you've a weakness for retro kitsch you'll absolutely love them!
I asked owner Felicity a few questions about her business.
Can you introduce yourself and your shop, please?
We are Now, Voyager - handmade glamour & silliness for your hair! Most well known for our Now, Voyager bird and cake hair pieces. Our bird hair clips have also recently found their way into Supermarket Sarah at Selfridges, which we are very excited about!
What inspired you to start Now, Voyager?
I started Now, Voyager because I have always loved hair accessories, but it drove me crazy getting them from the high street as they never seemed to sit right-I felt like I was battling a wobbling hair piece all day! I also really wanted birds and cakes for my hair, and no one was doing it so I thought, why not? I handmake everything so that the flower/bird/cake sits securely and comfortable, at an effective angle.
Can you tell us your favourite piece in your shop right now?
My favourite piece right now would have to be the bright butterfly fascinators - they are so dramatic!
What are you currently working on?
I am currently glue gun in hand, getting lots of stock made for the festivals! Including lots of festival exclusives like Bright Mini Butterfly Hair Clips and mini Sequin Wing Bird Hair Clips.
Sounds fabulous! Where can we find you?
We are going to be at Lovebox, Vintage at Southbank and Bestival! We will also be at Hyper Japan, plus we travel with Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair. You can find out when we will next be in a town near you by visiting our events diary.
You can find us at our homepage now-voyager.co.uk, on our facebook page, and as @NowVoyagerSOS on Twitter.
