As I mentioned the other day, I'm going to frame up the artwork from my collection of midcentury stocking packages to hang on the walls in the new flat. Some of these I've had for a while; others are recent additions from my lucky car boot sale find a few weeks ago. I love Bear Brand's "American Places" illustration series, and I'm now on a mission to collect the set!
I'm thinking of adapting this last one into a fabric print - can't you just picture a 50s dress in it?
By the way I'm listing duplicates - and many more - in my ebay shop.
Those are fantastic! I love each one, though my favorites are probably the Bear Brand ones in Laramie and Kentucky. Oh why can't we have illustrations like that nowadays!
You have an awesome collection They will look great displayed,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection.
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous. I love the Top Ten one the most, I think. But the "American Places" series is such a great idea too - my favourite is Ohio.
ReplyDeleteI love these! I'm planning to do a post about Finnish stocking packages when I find the time...
