Bluebells at Osterley Park

Ah, bluebell season! I love roses, and tulips are delightful, and lilies are fabulously opulent, but my favourite flower for as long as I can remember has been the humble English bluebell (with lavender as a close second). A few weeks back - about the last time we saw sunshine in these parts - we visited our local National Trust property Osterley Park for a stroll through their bluebell-carpeted woodland.

Outfit details: Nylon dress (I guess 1950s because of the full skirt, though the neckline has the look of earlier), from a friend's clearout; Clarks shoes, charity shop; Gloves, thrifted (I can't remember exactly where most of my gloves came from - likely a car boot sale or a vintage shop); Handbag, had it ages, can't remember where it came from originally.

  1. My goodness! You look absolutely delightful! Like a fresh spring day!!

  2. Adorable. Love the blues in your outfit. And the bluebells look awesome - but most probably I'll be allergic to them... v.v'

  3. What a glorious outfit!

Oh sun, just a distant memory now! *come back pleeeeeease*

  4. Blimmin heck Charlotte! You look amazing love the dress, and the setting too.

  5. I too love bluebells but haven't had a chance to find any this year as it hasn't stopped raining for long enough. It's such a thrill to round a corner on a country lane and come face to face with a sea of blue :0)

  6. Hello Charlotte! I thought I'd stop by and let you know that I have awarded you a Sunshine blog Award over on mine. I had to nominate five of my favourites, and for vintage style you come up trumps. I won't be offended if you wish to decline! Happy weekend! Tania ♥

  7. Enchantingly beautiful! The cut and floral pattern of that dress is simply heavenly!

    Wishing you a marvelous weekend,
    ♥ Jessica

  8. Simply gorgeous!!! That dress and location (and you! ;) are a stunner...

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
